Position: Child Protection Assistant IRC
Job Overview:

Major Responsibilities:
Case management
- Provide teaching, mentoring and technical help to the woreda BOWCA on youngster safety case management all through the case administration steps.
- Assist the BOWCA team within the evaluation of the dwelling circumstances of youngsters within the IDP web site and take part within the development of an appropriate technique in addressing their wants.

Other extra tasks
- Organize and facilitate constructive parenting weekly classes.(Family Makes the Difference!)

- Organize and help psychosocial help actions at (the Safe Healing and Learning Space (SHLS).

- Facilitate the involvement of youngsters and the neighborhood (leaders and oldsters) within the child-friendly house and doc the progress made.

Key Working Relationships:
- The place holder will directly report back to the Child Protection Officer with extra oversight from the Asossa area coordinator and technical help from CP managers based in Addis Ababa.
Job Requirements
- Apply basic to intermediate stage data of procedural and systems to carry out the requirement of the job abilities and data typically acquired via a mix of job-related coaching, some on-job experience and a few formal education.
- University Degree in Social Science, Social Work, psychology/Sociology with 2 years of relevant work experience for diploma holders or 0- year relevant work experience for first degree
- NGO experience is a plus.
- Fluent spoken and written English, and Amharic languages
- Experience in capacity building and mentoring.
- Good digital literacy: MS Word and Excel.
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills and suppleness.
- Good understanding of CP program approaches and apply.
- Confirmed experience in growing competency-based coaching modules!
