Term of Reference – Call for the Internship Opportunity
Stichting Wageningen Research (SWR) is an international NGO registered in Ethiopia since March 2021 with the FDRE Agency for Civil Society Organizations. The group is established with the goals of promoting a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable food systems in Ethiopia.
One of the roles of SWR Ethiopia, through its Ethiopia Netherland Seed Partnership (ENSP), is enhancing the capacity of fresh and up to date graduates of seed associated fields of research and to create market opportunity for them. The ENSP venture serves as facilitator agent and bridge between interns and host organizations of the seed sector. Furthermore, SWR Ethiopia gives technical and financial assist for interns during the internship interval.
SWR Ethiopian offices welcome talented and motivated younger graduates to affix our internship program, designed to advance their career and give them a possibility to hyperlink with the labor market
The essential goal of the internship program is to offer younger professionals with quality practical-learning expertise, allow interns to have entry to employment alternatives, and create younger entrepreneurs. In the meantime, our interns will lend their experience from varied fields of research to the host organizations.
Roles and Responsibilities of Interns
- As an intern, you are expected to:
- Participating in pre, follow-up, and on-job trainings;
- Gain a good understanding of the mission, values and day-to-day operations of the organization;
- Undertake the assignments given by the host group;
- Develop your existing abilities and be taught new experiences that shall be useful on your profession;
- Work in a dynamic and multicultural environment that will allow you to broaden your professional network.
- A resent graduate from a recognized college in the field of Horticulture, Plant Science, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Marketing, and Crop Production
- A graduate from Agricultural TVETs and pass the CoC assessment of level IV
- Interested in learning and work in the seed sector.
- Applicants should have a confirmation letter from host organizations ( a letter that states the seed firm /agricultural analysis center is prepared to give him/her a placement for internship for a period of 3-6 months)
- Able to undertake the required internship coaching.
- Willing to participate in the internship program on full-time foundation.
- Not beforehand participated in any internship program.
- Meet any other requirements listed on the application type
Duration of the assignment: Three to Six months of internship project
